May 12, 2020

Jasper, Alberta — It is with a heavy heart that the we must announce the cancellation of Jasper’s 2020 Canada Day celebrations, due to the predicted impacts of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). This difficult decision has been made in the interests of safety for our valued community members and visitors, and follows directions from the World Health Organization, the Public Health Agency of Canada and Alberta Health Services.

We are thankful for each and every person who was involved with the planning of the July 1 events, and look forward to Canada Day 2021.

Visit our website jaspercanadaday.com for more details and how you can get involved in future celebrations. Please keep an eye on our social media channels (Facebook, Instagram and Twitter) for updates.

Thank you again to everyone for your understanding and continued support during this time.

Sincerely,

Lynn Wannop & Laura Park
